And boy, have we learned a lot in the process. Mostly, we've learned that while Backbone is great at what it does, operating at a larger scale and a faster pace means we have bigger problems to solve that require different approaches. Over the past few months we've been experimenting with [Flux](https://facebook.github.io/flux/) & [React](http://facebook.github.io/react/) by implementing them in internal tools and small portions of our products. The performance gains we've seen, coupled with the simpler mental model, have convinced us that this is the way we now want to build frontend web applications.
